If you're tired of...

•    Hearing "but you don't look sick" and then questioning how you really feel

•    Fighting to be heard and believed by medical professionals

•    Feeling stuck between your ‘old’ life and the one you're living now

•    Struggling to maintain your relationships because you can’t communicate what you need or how you’re feeling

You're not on your own.

Person-Centred Therapy

You’re the expert on your own life. I'm here to follow your lead, not hand you a script.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Making room for difficult feelings while moving towards what matters to you.

Compassion-Focused Therapy

Quietening that harsh inner voice and learning to treat yourself with kindness and care.

You've landed in exactly the right place

Come as you are, whether that’s on a good day or a really rough one. You won’t need to explain away the pain or play it down.

We’ll make space for the grief, the anger, the exhaustion and the stuff you haven’t said out loud yet. Then we’ll figure out how you got here, and how you want to move forward in a way that works for your body and your life.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed or years into managing a long-term condition, you don’t have to carry this on your own.

Come for a chat, stay for a change.

Get in touch

Reaching out is often the hardest bit. Fill in the form or drop me a short message. You don’t need the right words or a “good enough” reason, just let me know a little about what’s bringing you here.

01

Join an intro call

A free 15-minute chat about what’s going on for you and what you’re hoping for. Ask me anything, get a feel for whether we click, and there’s no pressure to commit.

02

Start therapy

If it feels right, we’ll book your first session. We’ll go at a pace that works for your energy, in a space that’s confidential, non-judgemental and entirely yours.

03

Ongoing support

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all (neither are bodies). We’ll check in on how things are going, shift focus as you need to, and work towards an ending that feels right for you, whenever that is.

Get to know me

Kirsty Corvan Chronic illness therapist

Hi, I'm Kirsty

I’m a BACP-registered therapist who specialises in the emotional side of living with chronic illness and disability: the grief, the guilt, the anger, and the endless explaining yourself.

I help my clients feel more like themselves again, rebuild confidence in who they are now, and start actually living, not just existing.

So if you’ve been searching for a therapist who really gets chronic illness… welcome. I’m so glad you found me.

What it's like to work with me...

"Working with Kirsty has been truly life-changing. She created a safe, supportive space where I could be fully open and finally express everything I had been carrying for so long. I always felt genuinely listened to and understood. Kirsty offered support exactly when I needed it, while also gently challenging my thought patterns in a way that helped me see my life and health from a completely new perspective."

- Therapy client

"I have had a really positive experience working with Kirsty while dealing with my chronic pain issues. Working with Kirsty has helped me to better cope with and process my ongoing health issues which has left me feeling in a much better place. I would highly recommend her to other people dealing with chronic pain."

- Therapy client

"Kirsty made me feel at ease and comfortable talking about my anxiety and fears… Therapy also made me question what was important in my recovery journey and I for once started to know my self worth and therefore started to put myself first without feeling guilty. I am now in a much better place both mentally and physically…I am so grateful for Kirsty’s professionalism and support through a very difficult time in my life."

- Therapy client

"Kirsty was supportive, kind, gentle and understanding. Kirsty consistently considered my chronic illness throughout the sessions, recognising that even if not explicitly mentioned, my illness was impacting every aspect of my life. It felt so nice speaking to someone who completely understood what I was going through. She has made a huge impact on my life and I am so grateful."
